3 Things I’d Do to Glow Up Immediately

Are you looking to go through a glow up? Here are the top 3 things I would do immediately to start my glow up journey.

01. Set a Goal

The first thing you want to do is find your "why." Why do you want to glow up? Hold your "why" close to your heart and set a goal that will get you closer to the person you want to become. It's important to be very specific on what your goal is and why you want to achieve it. Once that's settled, choose a specific and realistic date you hope to achieve it by.

02. Create a Plan

Once you have that date set in your calendar, create a plan to get that done. Maybe your goal is, for example, to be more sociable and host a meetup with people in your city. If my goal date was to achieve that by the end of the month, then I'd divide my plan into 4 weeks and make each week focused on one key element I can focus on. These subset items will help make the goal more achievable and easier to accomplish.

03. Act Like My Future Self

You can't just assume that one day you will wake up and be a changed person. There is a little bit of self belief and determination that goes into a glow up. Even if you don't feel like you're the person you want to be, you need to start acting like that person from day 1. How does your future self act? Do they show up confidently when they enter a room? Do they enjoy dressing up and sparking conversations with people? This might feel uncomfortable at first, but if you keep at it, it will feel second nature and you will slowly turn into the person you envision yourself to be.

... Read moreEmbarking on a glow up journey is about more than just external changes; it’s also about a mindset shift. Start by identifying your motivations and honing in on the specific aspects you wish to improve. Setting clear, realistic goals that resonate with your personal desires is essential. For instance, if your goal is to enhance your social skills, break it down into manageable weekly objectives. Maybe your first week could focus on initiating conversations, and by the end of the month, you could aim to host a gathering with new acquaintances. In addition, visualization plays a significant role in this transformation. Picture yourself as the confident, self-assured individual you aspire to be. Emulate the characteristics of your future self from day one. This means portraying yourself with confidence and embracing every opportunity to connect with others, even if it feels daunting initially. Consistency in acting like your ideal self will gradually solidify these behaviors until they become second nature. Remember, a successful glow up combines tangible goals with the belief in your potential, paving the way for profound personal growth.
