When I start a new character sketch, I usually don't have a solid plan. It's more about letting my hand guide me and seeing what shapes emerge. Start by exaggerating the gesture, focusing on large eyes, distinct hairstyles, and clear emotional cues. Don't be afraid to make things cartoony or push proportions a bit.
