Nervous but Excited

Recently, I changed my major from Early Childhood Education to Culinary Arts for very personal reasons. I decided this change would be best for me since I feel more comfortable learning in a classroom with an instructor instead of teaching myself my own school material.

I’ve always had struggles with self teaching and doing so with my last major made me feel stuck and unorganized. Bringing out bad traits and habits that I never knew I had.

I am a high functioning autistic adult with other mental illnesses. Some things are difficult for me to process and learn but I won’t let it stop me from going to college to make a career for myself. So I decided to switch it up to something more comfortable.

Cooking is like an escape for me. I do love preparing different beverages and whatnot. But I also love the process of cooking. Even though I am a little impatient I still love being able to express myself through cooking.

Thanks for reading!
