... Read moreCinnamon rolls are a beloved treat, perfect for breakfast or dessert. These gooey, warm delights feature a soft, pillowy texture, with just the right amount of sweetness. The key to perfectly baked cinnamon rolls is in the dough, which should be adequately kneaded and allowed to rise until doubled in size. This recipe uses simple ingredients: active dry yeast, warm milk, sugar, butter, and flour—all of which can typically be found in your pantry. When preparing the filling, cinnamon mixed with brown sugar creates a classic warm flavor that many adore. Consider adding nuts or raisins for extra texture and taste. Once rolled and sliced, allow the rolls to rise again—this second rise will improve the final product's fluffiness. Baking the rolls in a cast iron skillet can enhance flavor and helps provide even baking. The final touch is the icing, which can be adjusted based on your sweetness preference. Whether you choose cream cheese icing or a simple glaze, this adds a delightful finish. Serve them warm for an indulgent experience that will impress everyone at the breakfast table. Enjoy this timeless recipe during the fall or any cozy morning to bring warmth into your home.
