Lately, I've found myself shifting away from the fast-paced 'baddie' lifestyle often glorified on social media, and instead, embracing what could be called being a 'goodie.' This means prioritizing staying home and enjoying peaceful, fulfilling activities rather than always chasing excitement outside. One hobby I've recently picked up is bird watching, which surprisingly brings a lot of joy and calmness. Bird watching might sound simple, but it connects you deeply to nature and lets you appreciate the small details often missed in our busy lives. Starting it is easy — you just need a good guidebook or an app to identify local birds, and some patience. It has become a perfect way to relax, especially during mornings or weekends, turning my home surroundings into a peaceful retreat. I also realized that staying home and doing 'nothing' isn't about being idle; it's about giving yourself the permission to rest and recharge. This change has improved my mental health and creativity, which ironically makes me more productive when I do decide to engage in more active hobbies or social outings. So, whether you’re feeling burnt out or just seeking a healthier balance in life, I encourage picking up a hobby that feels calming and fulfilling. It could be anything from cooking, crafting, reading, to bird watching. These small shifts can transform your lifestyle and well-being tremendously.
