Ark ascended
Check out my new mutated Dreadnoughtus!!!!
Hey survivors! So you've seen my awesome new mutated Dreadnoughtus, and I know many of you are wondering how to get one of these colossal beasts for yourselves. Taming a Dreadnoughtus in Ark Ascended can seem like a huge undertaking, but trust me, it's totally achievable with the right strategy! I've been through the process, and I'm here to share my personal guide to help you add this magnificent creature to your tribe. First things first: finding your Dreadnoughtus. These gentle giants typically roam specific areas. You'll often spot them in more lush, resource-rich biomes, sometimes near redwood forests or open plains where they have plenty of room to move. Keep an eye out for their distinctive long necks towering over the trees. High-level ones are always best, so bring your spyglass! Next, preparation is absolutely crucial. You don't want to go in unprepared. For a creature as massive as the Dreadnoughtus, you'll need a serious amount of tranquilizers. I highly recommend using Tranq Darts with a high-quality Longneck Rifle. If you're earlier in the game, a decent Crossbow with Tranq Arrows can work, but it will take significantly more. Aim for headshots, as these deal bonus torpor! Food-wise, their preferred kibble is generally Exceptional Kibble. Make sure you have a good stack of it. You'll also need plenty of Narcotics or Bio Toxin to keep its torpor up once it's unconscious, as these guys wake up quickly if left unchecked. Now, for the actual taming strategy. Given their size, a taming trap is almost essential for a smooth process. A simple but effective design uses a series of Metal Behemoth Gates or a combination of large bear traps and gates. Lure the Dreadnoughtus into your trap – a fast flying mount or a high-movement ground dino is great for this. Once it's trapped, you can safely unleash your tranquilizers without worrying about it stomping you into oblivion. Once it's down, immediately start feeding it your Exceptional Kibble. Keep a close watch on its torpor bar and administer Narcotics/Bio Toxin as needed. This can be a lengthy process, so be patient and protect your unconscious tame from any aggressive wild creatures nearby. Building a temporary perimeter of wooden spikes or a small fence can help deter smaller threats. After what might feel like an eternity, congratulations! You'll have your very own Dreadnoughtus. I remember the thrill of seeing my first one wake up – it's an incredible feeling. Now you can start leveling it up! Focus on health, melee damage, and weight, depending on what you plan to use it for. My own mutated Dreadnoughtus has incredible stats thanks to some breeding, but even a wild-tamed one is a powerhouse. They're fantastic for gathering resources, tanking damage, and just being an impressive display of your taming prowess. Don't be discouraged if your first attempt isn't perfect. Ark taming has a learning curve. Just keep at it, and soon you'll be riding your own magnificent Dreadnoughtus across the Ark!
