My Valentine’s Day Reality
My boss asked me if I had any special plans for Valentine’s Day and I laughed and said “yeah, sitting on the couch”
She—another woman in her 30’s like myself replied with “Same” and I just thought wow…is this just how things sort of pan out sometimes in life after a certain age or timeframe with your partner? 🤔
And just to clarify, I replied to my boss’s question with relief, not anger. I was absolutely fine with replaxing at home, eating my V-day candy & starting the new #loveisblind while having a little after-the-kids-go-to-sleep couch date with my man. (He did get me roses, so I give him bonus points 😍)
