Ever been hurt by someone you loved❓🥺🥺 I have ✨

Story time: #embracevulnerability #Lemon8Diary so in 2020 the start of the year I found out I was pregnant and by the end of the year I lost my son due to complications at birth losing my son only at 5 months. Coming out of a toxic relationship that was the last thing I needed. I decided by 2021 I wanted to move to Las Vegas for a brand new start. Not realizing I would end up meeting my husband. (well not yet but I see a vision with this man) so 3 months Into the best healthiest most loving relationship I've ever been in. He lost his son to death. At the time I thought what was best actually pushed him away. I figured because I had been through the loss of a child I could be there for him in support as a girlfriend would do. I learned then that not everyone grived the same. What I needed at the time when I was dealing with my loss is not what he wanted and he would tell me but I thought I knew best. It put a wrench in our relationship and I began to resent him for being so mean rather then just respectfully give him his space. Fast forward to 2024 I moved back home and one day I get a dm on ig and its him. He works as a flight attendant and has a layover in a town near me. So of course those butterflys come alive and gives me the courage to take a 3hour bus to Ac to spend time with this man that left me broken hearts. Things we do for love right except this time it was worth it. The night was beautiful as we caught up like old times and chemistry didn't skip not one beat as if I saw him yesterday. But the highlight of the night was the fact that he apologized! Yes girl he apologized for how mean he was and admitted to tearing up apart. I wanted to cry but I put everything in perspective. Just because we went through similar experiences our greaving is not the same. I say all that to say sometimes just being there is enough. Your actions and presence speaks more volume then actual words. I hope this helps someone going thru a similar situation. Love you all hunny bunches 💖💫#LoveYourself #traveling #apology #forgiveness #relationship #selfcare #jersey #simplybella

... Read moreIt's so true that the journey to love often requires a deep, personal healing process. Your story beautifully illustrates this, showing how profound loss and past hurts can uniquely shape our path forward, especially when new love enters the picture. Often, we carry invisible wounds from experiences like losing a child or navigating a toxic relationship, and these wounds can influence how we interact in new, healthy connections. One of the most powerful insights from your experience is how differently people grieve. When we've been through a similar trauma, like child loss, it's natural to assume we know exactly what someone else needs. However, as you discovered, what was healing for you might not be what your partner needed in his moment of pain. Understanding this is crucial: grief is intensely personal. There's no right or wrong way to mourn. Sometimes, the best support isn't advice or shared experience, but simply being there — offering a quiet presence, respect for their space, and unconditional love, even if it feels like they're pushing you away. Learning to listen to what someone says they need, rather than projecting our own healing journey onto them, is a huge step in truly supporting a loved one. And then, there's the power of an apology. Hearing "THAT TIME I FINALLY GOT THE APOLOGY I DESERVED" resonates deeply. An apology isn't just about acknowledging wrong-doing; it's about validating someone's pain and offering a pathway to release resentment. It can be a profound act of healing, not only for the person receiving it but also for the person giving it, as it requires self-reflection and courage. Your story shows that sometimes, even after years, a genuine apology can mend bridges you thought were permanently broken. It allows both parties to let go of the past and opens up possibilities for a renewed connection. Forgiveness, both for others and for ourselves, is a cornerstone of this healing journey. It's easy to resent someone who hurt us, but sometimes we need to forgive ourselves too – for mistakes made in the past, for not knowing better, or for reacting imperfectly in difficult situations. Your reflection on pushing your partner away, even with good intentions, is a testament to this self-awareness. Forgiveness isn't about condoning actions; it's about freeing yourself from the emotional burden. It’s a gift you give yourself first. Rebuilding trust and love after such significant challenges takes immense patience and commitment from both sides. It's about recognizing that past pain doesn't define the present relationship, but it certainly informs it. Open communication, even when uncomfortable, is vital. Discussing your past experiences, your individual grieving styles, and your needs can prevent future misunderstandings and strengthen your bond. Ultimately, your journey highlights the importance of self-love and resilience. Despite the heartbreak, the toxic relationship, and the subsequent challenges, you kept moving forward, eventually finding a path back to a meaningful connection. This self-care, this belief in your own worth and happiness, is what makes the journey to love truly fulfilling. It teaches us that while love can bring pain, it also brings incredible opportunities for growth, healing, and profound connection, especially when we commit to loving ourselves through it all.
