This was exactly my approach with Sarah J. Maas's 'A Court of Mist and Fury'. Particularly, I've found myself disliking Tamlin more and more. There's something frustrating about his actions and personality, which adds tension to the story. On the other hand, Rhysand remains a fascinating and enigmatic character whose depth and growth I appreciate immensely. His impact on the storyline and other characters adds layers of complexity that elevate the narrative. The emotional highs and lows Maas delivers make this book stand out in the series. I often find myself reflecting on the interpersonal dynamics and how they make the fantasy world feel real and relatable. This balance of fantasy elements with strong character development keeps me coming back to revisit this series again and again. If you’re a fan of fantasy series with intense character relationships, I highly recommend giving this book a try. Just be prepared for some emotional rollercoaster moments that will leave you eager for the next installment!
