let others act as they will
In my experience, understanding that "letting others act as they will" is an essential part of maintaining inner peace and healthy relationships has been transformative. Life is hectic, and everyone’s priorities and abilities to communicate differ. I’ve learned that if someone truly values you, they will find the time and means to keep in touch, even if it's just a quick phone call. This perspective helped me stop chasing people who did not add value to my life or peace of mind. I also discovered the power of being comfortable alone. Enjoying my own company and not depending on others for happiness strengthened my self-worth and clarity about what I want in relationships. When seeking a partner, I pay close attention to not just surface-level traits but how they treat me during difficult times, their morals, and how they handle challenges—because these qualities reveal if they can be supportive in the long run. Having high standards doesn’t mean isolating yourself; rather, it encourages stepping out and connecting with people who respect your peace and share your values. It’s about creating space for meaningful connections rather than forcing relationships out of fear of loneliness. This approach leads to deeper, more fulfilling relationships and a greater sense of personal peace.
