Okay listen.... Keep It In The Family was like making a cup of tea but accidentally leaving the bag in long enough to summon a demon. At first it’s mild, warm, and you’re like “okay, vibes.” Then suddenly Boom.... John Marrs kicks down the door like “Oh… you thought that was the twist? Adorable. Buckle up, pumpkin.”
And buckle up I did.
Every time I thought I had solved something, Marrs basically patted me on the head and whispered, “Sweet summer child.” Then... WHAM... another twist. Neck snapping. Brain spinning. Emotional whiplash. By the middle I was clutching the book like a life raft and whispering “WHAT IS HAPPENING” to my houseplants.
Dark, creepy, twisty, and absolutely unhinged in the best way, this book kept me guessing, gasping, and questioning everyone’s life choices.
