Four out of five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was such a short but wildly enjoyable read. Literally 47 pages and Freida McFadden still managed to cram in twists, turns, and that signature “oh you thought” energy she’s so good at. I blinked and suddenly I was at the end, jaw slightly dropped, trying to process how much just happened in such a tiny package.
The only reason it’s not a full five stars is because I wanted more. Like… way more. I would absolutely read a full length novel about these characters without hesitation. The setup was intriguing, the tension was there, and the ending did exactly what Freida endings do which is make you stare at the wall for a minute.
Short, sharp, and effective. A perfect little thriller snack that leaves you satisfied but also low key wishing there was a second course
