A couple clips from Splatoon! 🎨
I've been grinding Splatoon for a while now, and there’s nothing quite like those moments when you just click with your team and become unstoppable – almost like a squad of 'Splatoon raiders' pushing through enemy lines! Those clips I shared earlier really capture some of my favorite aggressive plays, especially in modes like Rainmaker and Tower Control. It's not just about flashy moves; it's about making impactful plays that swing the game in your favor. Being a 'raider' isn't just about getting splats, though those are definitely satisfying! It's about understanding the objective and making bold moves. For instance, in Rainmaker, sometimes you have to be the one to grab it and just *go*. You might hear your teammates yell 'Booyah!' as you make that initial dash, signaling their support and readiness to clear a path. I've had so many games where we were neck and neck, and then someone (or me!) just takes the Rainmaker and makes a mad dash, strategically using the environment to avoid being 'Splatted'. It's all about calculated risks and knowing when to push hard and when to fall back and regroup. I remember one intense match where we had the Rainmaker, and the enemy was at checkpoint 2, pushing desperately to stop us. My team managed to coordinate a simultaneous push, splatting their key defenders, and I made a bee-line for their base, securing the win just as time ran out. It felt incredible to pull off such a coordinated 'raid'! Tower Control is another mode where that 'raider' mentality truly shines. Sticking to the tower, even when it feels like everyone is shooting at you from every angle, is absolutely crucial. You become the spearhead of the attack, and your teammates are there to protect you and clear the path ahead. There are moments when you're riding the tower, and you hear all these 'Booyah!' calls from your teammates, urging you forward and giving you that extra boost of confidence. Of course, you're going to get 'Splatted' sometimes – it's an inevitable part of the game. The key is to respawn quickly, learn from how you got splatted, and get right back to the objective. Don't let losing the Rainmaker or getting pushed off the tower discourage you! A quick 'This way!' after respawning can often rally your team for another push. I've learned that communication, even with just the in-game commands, is super important for these aggressive pushes. It helps coordinate those spontaneous 'raids' when you can't voice chat. And weapon choice plays a huge role too. If I'm aiming to be the primary objective pusher, I often lean towards weapons that allow for quick movement and good offensive capabilities – something that can both deal damage and ink turf quickly to create pathways. It’s a dynamic dance of offense and defense, predicting enemy movements, and reacting quickly. But when you pull off a successful 'raid' and secure the win, whether it's an overtime Rainmaker dunk or a final Tower push, it's one of the most exhilarating feelings in Splatoon! What are your favorite 'raider' moments?
