They didn’t fit😕
So I brought some swimsuits from SHEIN, and let me say this.
I brought these knowing that they may not fit so I wasn’t to upset, but I thought these were so cute to own lol. Anyways the first swimsuit didn’t fit me at all if you know the bible verse from Psalm 23 than you know what I’m talking about “my cup runneth over” and I do mean it RUNNETH over, i only want the bikini tops though bc there’s no way I was gonna wear a thong like bikini bottom while in the lake. The second bikini top was just a no go all around, the second top made me so upset bc it was so cuteee but it just didn’t fit the girls #lemon8diarychallenge
It's so frustrating when you find what looks like the perfect bikini online, especially for us SSBBW queens, only to have it arrive and realize it's a total miss! My recent SHEIN haul, much like the original post, really highlighted the challenges of finding swimwear that truly fits and flatters. I've been there countless times, ordering a gorgeous camouflage print triangle bikini only to find the cups are nowhere near big enough, or a thong bottom that's just not practical for a family lake day. It's easy to get discouraged, but I've picked up a few tricks over the years that might help you avoid similar swimwear mishaps. First off, when it comes to online shopping, especially for brands like SHEIN, read the reviews – and I mean ALL of them. Don't just look at the star rating; dig into what people are saying about sizing, fabric quality, and how it fits specific body parts. Look for reviews from people with similar body types or measurements to yours. Often, fellow shoppers will share their actual measurements and what size they ordered, which is incredibly helpful. Secondly, know your measurements! This sounds obvious, but it's crucial for swimwear. Don't just rely on your everyday clothing size. Grab a tape measure and know your bust (fullest part), underbust, waist, and hips. Compare these directly to the size chart provided for *each item*, as sizing can vary wildly even within the same brand. For bikini tops, look for options that specify cup sizes or are designed with adjustable features. An American flag-themed bikini top might look adorable, but if it doesn't have good support or adjustable halter and back ties, it might lead to the dreaded "cup runneth over" situation! Third, consider the style of bikini carefully. Triangle tops, while cute, often offer minimal support and coverage, which can be an issue for larger busts. Look for styles with underwire, built-in padding, or thicker straps for better lift and security. High-waisted bottoms can be a game-changer for comfort and confidence, offering more coverage than those tiny thongs or skimpy cuts. I've personally found that tankini tops or swim dresses can also be fantastic alternatives if you're looking for more coverage without sacrificing style. Finally, don't be afraid to try different brands that specifically cater to plus-size swimwear. While SHEIN can be hit or miss, brands like Torrid, Lane Bryant, or even some specialized online boutiques often have designs created with our curves in mind. Their size charts are usually more accurate, and the designs typically offer better support and coverage. Remember, finding the perfect swimsuit is a journey, and every 'didn't fit' moment is just a step closer to finding the one that makes you feel amazing! Don't let a bad fit get you down; there's a fabulous bikini out there waiting for you.
