First Top Golf Experience
I definitely recommend coming to this place and getting a golfing glove if you’re committed to golfing. The asian sesame wings I had from this place were so delicious as well 🤤
Wow, my very first Topgolf experience was such a blast, and I wanted to share everything I learned, especially for anyone who's a total beginner like I was! If you've been wondering what it's like or if you'd even enjoy it if you've never swung a club before, this review is for you. Before I went, I vaguely knew it was about golf, but it's really a high-tech driving range combined with a restaurant and bar. You hit microchipped golf balls into targets, and scores are tracked automatically. It's way more accessible than traditional golf, perfect for a fun night out with friends or family, not just serious golfers. Walking in, the vibe was super lively! We checked in, got assigned a 'bay' (it's like your own private lounge area), and then it was time to pick clubs. They have men's, women's, and kids' clubs right there, so no need to bring your own. This was a huge relief for a newbie like me! Now, about the actual golf! I was a bit nervous about swinging a golf club for the first time, but honestly, it's so much fun you quickly forget any self-consciousness. The screens make it easy to understand the different games. My biggest tip? Definitely get a golf glove if you plan on playing for more than a few minutes. I picked up a white Callaway golf glove (just like the one in my pic!) and it made such a difference in my grip and prevented blisters. Seriously, don't skip it if you want to commit to those swings! You're hitting out into a huge golf driving range with massive targets, and seeing your score pop up instantly is really satisfying. We worked up an appetite, and let me tell you, the food here is surprisingly good for a 'golf' place. The Asian sesame wings I tried were absolutely delicious – crispy, saucy, just perfect. They have a huge menu of appetizers, burgers, tacos, and drinks, so there’s something for everyone, even non-golfers who just want to hang out and eat. The atmosphere is energetic and loud, with music playing and everyone laughing and cheering. It's truly a fun experience for all skill levels. For your first visit, I'd recommend going with a group, maybe booking a bay online in advance to avoid waiting, and definitely wear comfortable shoes. Don't worry about being good at golf; it's more about having a good time. Seeing the Topgolf logo everywhere just adds to the branded fun. I even saw them practicing their swings in the bays next to us! Overall, my first Topgolf experience exceeded my expectations. It's a fantastic blend of sport, entertainment, and good food. If you're a beginner curious about golf or just looking for a unique outing, I highly recommend giving Topgolf a try. I'm already planning my next visit – maybe I'll even improve my swing a little! What are your favorite tips for Topgolf beginners?
