✨Growth is happening everywhere🌺🍓

It’s been two days since we got the news. I’m still in the ‘waiting’—waiting for my body to reset, waiting for the word on our next steps with the contract. But as I sat with my spinach smoothie this morning, I looked around and realized: life isn’t waiting on me. It’s blooming.

My hibiscus put off a gorgeous flower this morning. I found a strawberry ripening perfectly and two new cauliflower sprouts. 🍓✨ Growth is happening everywhere.

The biggest ‘growth’ of all? My oldest baby turned 13 last week. Seeing the hair on his upper lip darken is the most beautiful, heartbreaking thing. My boy is becoming a man. He was accepted into the National Junior Honor Society yesterday, and my heart is just bursting.

I might be in a season of ‘no’ regarding the transfer, but I am surrounded by a million ‘yeses’ in my own home. Taking today to celebrate my NJHS scholar and enjoy a quiet cup of tea with a friend. ☕❤️

Like watching your garden bloom, seeing new leaves sprout or flowers bloom can remind you that change is constant and beautiful. Personally, when my child reached a significant milestone like entering the National Junior Honor Society, it felt both joyful and bittersweet, highlighting how rapidly they grow and evolve. During times of waiting or uncertainty, I’ve found that focusing on small, positive moments sustains me. Whether it’s savoring a quiet cup of tea with a friend or celebrating a personal achievement within the family, these simple pleasures create a rich tapestry of gratitude and resilience. It’s important to acknowledge that sometimes one area of life might be on pause (like awaiting contract news), but growth continues silently in others. Gardening metaphors resonate strongly with me; just as a hibiscus flower appears unexpectedly or a strawberry ripens perfectly, personal growth often happens beyond our immediate view. Nurturing both the body and spirit—in this case, through wholesome foods like spinach smoothies—helps prepare us for future challenges and opportunities. I encourage embracing each small victory, whether it’s the blossoming of a plant or a child’s transition into adolescence, as these moments collectively shape a fuller, meaningful life journey.
