For this piece, I focused on some of Husker's most recognizable features. I kept his iconic cat-like ears, but integrated them more subtly into a human head, and made sure to capture those piercing yellow eyes and the distinctive red eyebrows. And of course, the beard! It’s such a key part of his character, even in a human rendition. The large red and black wing was another fun element to adapt, giving him that powerful, yet slightly melancholic, presence. I imagined him in a light shirt with suspenders – a nod to his classic bartender vibe – and aimed for that neutral, world-weary expression he often carries. It ended up being a watercolor fan art, which I felt added a nice softness to the otherwise sharp character design.
