If you walk into the theater with the expectation of seeing the same level of greatness as the latest Superman, I'll say it's not there yet.
Supergirl in this version didn't come to flourish her brother's success, but she came in a teenage female hero tone that was searching for its own path. The most unfortunate thing in this installment is that the sparsity of the surrounding character, Ruthye, the subject of the story, is a character that seems to have a greater dimension and role in the action scene, but what's true is that she acts as a stir for the story to move forward rather than as a promotional partner.
The Brigand Gang, a Dystopia-style world villain, launched as though it were ruthless, savage, space pirate-style, but took it back to no horror at all, not feeling like a real threat, just waiting for the main character to play.
The only surprise to pass is Jason Momoa as Lobo, a scene thief who calls a real buzz, raw, bootleg, and immortal by style, a character who shows up and brakes the mood and fills the movie with fun. Unfortunately, this part shows a little bit of stuff. Come on, it's not full.
My feeling is that compared to the Superman franchise, where the extra characters and story scales make it more fun and mellow, Supergirl's only Lobo can't really support the supporting side.
But if you ask if it's worth a ticket, it's a fun, action-boiling hero movie and Milly Alcock's vivid charm, who likes beautiful visual work, fun action, space style, go and see it, but don't expect the depth of the content and the villain so much...Think of going to see a young girl whose power smashed the space thief!
