"Bound," an early 2000s classic, remains essential viewing for its bold portrayal of lesbian relationships in a noir setting. Growing up, I often felt a lack of media where queer women were at the forefront, and these films helped fill that gap. "The Fallout" and "The Color Purple" expand on different facets of emotional journeys and challenges faced by WLW individuals, making representation more diverse and nuanced. I believe the film industry needs to continue embracing stories that celebrate the full spectrum of queer experiences. When I finally get a computer, my dream is to study film and create movies that amplify these voices.
