Has anyone tried this line? I have never used any kind of Neutrogena hair products before.
I know I am due for a trim. I am a natural blonde and my is thin and fine and is about half way between my shoulder and elbow in length. I feel like it has stalled in growth.
I already don't wash every day, I don't brush my hair while it's wet, I don't sleep on it while it's wet, I try to wear it in a ponytail, if I have to wear it up I try to put it as loosely as possible in a clip. I also don't use any kind of heat on my hair.
I plan to start taking biotin, folate, and Viviscal to see if that helps any.
I know part of the part of the problem is a prescription medication that I am on (side effect) and it is what it is. Other than that what habits can I do to try to get breakage/shedding to stop and restart the growth process?

After starting to use the Neutrogena Hair Restore Triple Action line, which includes the Scalp Detox Cleanser with 1.5% Mandelic Acid, I've noticed my scalp feels refreshed and less prone to buildup, which I believe helps stimulate better hair growth. It’s important to use gentle cleansing products that don’t strip the scalp of natural oils but rather promote a healthy environment for your hair follicles.
In addition to using scalp-friendly products, I've maintained minimal heat styling and avoided brushing hair when wet to prevent breakage. Sleeping on a silk pillowcase and loosely tying hair with soft scrunchies also made a difference in reducing mechanical damage. I also found that taking biotin and folate supplements, recommended by my healthcare provider, complemented my hair care routine by supporting overall hair health from within.
Since some medications can contribute to hair shedding or stalling growth, it's essential to consult with a dermatologist or healthcare professional to discuss possible alternatives or solutions. Incorporating a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals helps too — focusing on protein intake, omega-3 fatty acids, and iron.
Overall, patience and consistent care with nourishing products, gentle handling techniques, and targeted nutrition have helped me manage hair shedding and encouraged gradual regrowth. Trying products like Neutrogena's hair care line in combination with these practices might be a promising approach for anyone facing similar hair challenges.
