Lan Gio, Danang | Worthy eats under $30
What a gem this was! Highly rated on Google Reviews and for good reason — everything we ordered here was sooo yummy.
It feels like it’s well on its way to be on the Michelin Guide but until then, if you’re in Danang, head over for a meal worth every bite (+affordable!!!)
From my experience dining at Lan Gio in Da Nang, it truly stands out for its blend of high-quality flavors and affordable prices. One thing that really impressed me was the meticulous service — the staff not only held our luggage and provided collection tags but also gave us aprons since we were wearing white, showing extra care for diners. The highlight was definitely the food: each dish was bursting with flavor and freshness. The pork skewers were juicy and tender, with a perfect balance of seasoning, while the spicy razor clams had a delightful kick that seafood lovers will appreciate. I also enjoyed the demonstration on wrapping pork and vegetables in rice paper directly at our table, which added a fun and interactive element to the meal. What makes Lan Gio even more remarkable is the affordability. We paid around 550,000 VND (approximately SGD 27) for three generous dishes, which is exceptional value for the quality provided. Unlike some places listed in Michelin guides where waits can be long, it took only 5 minutes to be seated during lunch, despite the busy atmosphere. If you’re traveling in Da Nang and want a memorable meal that won’t break the bank, Lan Gio is definitely worth visiting. It offers an authentic Vietnamese dining experience with dishes that are both rich in taste and thoughtfully prepared. I’d recommend trying the seafood vermicelli alongside the pork skewers and clams to fully enjoy what this restaurant has to offer. This place is quickly gaining recognition and might one day be featured in prestigious food guides, but meanwhile, it remains a fantastic culinary find for locals and tourists alike.
