Hello again! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. To start off the new week i got some weird movies you should check out, especially if you like body horror.
🍿Together 2025 : 8.7//10
i really enjoyed this movie. it definitely deserves the hype it got. though i do wish it had more of the jarring scenes, the effects were so amazing. if you like creepy, stressful, and body horror, this is your movie. not as intense as The Substance, but all together it was great. if you don't know anything about this movie, it's a good one to go in blind with
🍿The Ugly Stepsister 2025 : 6//10
As a stand alone movie, it was done well, but tbh i'm kinda disappointed.. i was promised body horror, which there is some elements, but it's definitely not a horror movie. And if they were trying to stick to the disney cinderella story, they failed pretty badly. the plot was clear and i'm sure i would've thought the acting was fantastic- if i could understand Norwegian, as my only option was to watch it dubbed. i think it's very creative to get a cinderella story from the sisters' perspective, but I think it could've been done a lot better. As a horror fan, this was not a good movie to add to the spooky list- though it is rather creepy. but if I had expected more of a comedy/ drama, I think I would've enjoyed it more, rather than setting my expectations high.
🍿Appendage 2023 : 7.5//10
A woman's inner anxieties come to life in the form of a parasitic monster that tries to ruin and take over her life. Super interesting & quite a bit of body horror, great twist, and Emily Hampshire is in it so it's obviously great.
🍿Amelia's Children 2023 : 7//10
Pretty interesting and good plot line. lovely scoring. A man searches for his biological family, only to find out the monstrous secret of how he's tied into the family
