Our Lord himself tells us not to fear cause he has us!!! Negative thoughts can feel accusatory, but they should be ignored. Your Savior is always present and supportive.

... Read moreIt's so easy to feel lost and overwhelmed, isn't it? Especially when life throws so much our way. I've been there, feeling that heavy weight of anxiety and fear, wondering how to even take the next step. That's why Isaiah 41:13 has become such a cornerstone for me. It’s not just a verse; it’s a personal promise from God: 'I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, "fear not, I am the one who helps you."'
Think about that image: God, the Creator of everything, holding your hand. It’s such a tangible way to picture His constant presence, especially when you feel like you're drowning. When I’m feeling particularly *anxious*, *overwhelmed*, or even just a little afraid of what tomorrow brings, I close my eyes and imagine His strong, loving hand in mine. It's a reminder that I don't have to navigate these feelings alone. He's not just observing; He's actively involved, saying, "fear not" to my troubled heart.
This promise of help is so powerful. It's not a suggestion; it's a declaration. What does that help look like? Sometimes it's a sudden peace that washes over me during a stressful moment. Other times, it’s the guidance I need to make a tough decision, or the strength to keep going when I feel completely drained. It's a deeply comforting thought that my Savior is always present and supportive. He truly is *the one who helps you*.
And when I delve deeper, Isaiah 41:10 resonates just as strongly: 'So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.' These two verses together paint such a complete picture. Not only does He hold my hand, but He also strengthens me and upholds me. It's like having a divine anchor in the storm, reminding me that *God is with you every step of the way*.
So, how do we lean into these promises even more? For me, it starts with acknowledging the feelings without letting them consume me. Then, I intentionally turn to these scriptures. I might write them down, meditate on them throughout the day, or even set them as a reminder on my phone. Prayer, as mentioned, is absolutely crucial. Just talking to God, pouring out my heart, and then listening for that quiet reassurance. Practically, I also try to find moments of gratitude, even small ones. It helps shift my focus from what's overwhelming to what's still good. Connecting with supportive friends or a faith community can also make a huge difference. Remembering that you are not alone, God is with you every step of the way isn't just a nice sentiment; it’s a truth that can transform how we face life’s challenges. Trusting in His support brings such profound *peace*. It’s a journey, but with Him, it's one I never have to walk by myself.
