The entrance, with that distinctive 'M' logo on the stone wall and lush green foliage, really set the tone for a nature-infused getaway. The rooms were super comfortable, and it felt like a true home away from home after a day of exploring. Minerals offers a more intimate setting, which I really appreciated, especially for unwinding. They have some fantastic amenities right on site, including a great spa and pools, perfect for rejuvenating after a long week. One of the absolute highlights of our trip was visiting the Grand Cascades Lodge. Wow, what a stunning property! The architecture, with its beautiful stone and wood elements, really makes it stand out, especially against the backdrop of a clear blue sky, just like in the photos. We spent some time admiring the grand facade, the large central entrance, and the inviting outdoor patio area – it’s definitely a sight to behold. But the real reason for our visit there was something truly special: painting with the goats! Yes, you heard that right, and it was even more fun than it sounds. Imagine getting creative while these adorable black goats, some with charming white markings, wander around. It was such a whimsical and memorable experience, definitely a must-do if you visit. It's a fantastic way to connect with nature and unleash your inner artist, all while getting some laughs from the friendly farm animals. Beyond the goat painting, Grand Cascades Lodge offers so much to do. It feels a bit grander and has a wider range of activities, from championship golf courses to multiple sophisticated dining options. Crystal Springs Resort, in general, is nestled in such a beautiful natural setting, making it ideal for those who love the outdoors. While I didn't explore specific 'wilderness lodges' by that exact name, the entire resort area feels very much connected to nature. There are plenty of opportunities for invigorating hikes through scenic trails, enjoying breathtaking mountain views, or simply breathing in the fresh air. You can truly immerse yourself in the natural beauty surrounding the resort. Whether you're planning a romantic retreat, a family vacation, or a solo wellness journey, Crystal Springs Resort has something for everyone. From the tranquil ambiance of Minerals to the lively Grand Cascades, every corner offers a unique charm.
