PWS in Taiwan — Avoid if possible 🥲

Hello! I am a soon-to-be bride in 2026 hehe

This is my experience in Taiwan for my pws 🥲

Package was purchased in a mall road show (paid $2600 for the base), this vendor do not have a boutique in SG!

First off, the base price is too good to be true!

There is always addition add ons such as: driver for the shoot, mua to tag along and additional photos.

Overall, I felt Taiwan boutique in general are very very VERY outdated and by that I meant, their outfits, their phototaking skills and their marketing.

📞 Communication is strictly via email ONLY like dafug what century are we in 🤡

👗 Outfits - This boutique have VERY limited dresses and needless to say men suits are worse…

📷 Photographer - Tbh the vibe with the photographer was ok, but when we were choosing photos we realise, he is a very lazy photographer LMAO look at the pic 3 to 5 🤡🤡 And due to miscomm or him not understanding our request, my fiancé wore only 1 suit for all 3 concept except the oriental one those we chose 2 suits to change 💀

🧾Photo choosing - WORSE EXPERIENCE we were held on there for 4 DAMN HOURS, cuz they refuse to match our price and kept gaslighting. Their sales incharge even said smth “We cant reduce anymore, how are we suppose to answer to our staffs. Poor thing the one that went out under the sun with you its not us but the photographer”

They will also try to not let you have control of the mouse in case you end up “accidentally” deleting photos you want. And whenever we say “delete this”, the staff would go “oh you sure? i think this photo is very nice, bride’s smile so bright” blah blah blah their incharge would also step in and give extra comments

There was 300+ photos and first round of selection we already deleted more than half which made them panic and say “wow first time we see couple deleted more than 1/2 in first round” 🤡🤡🤡🤡

We ended up bargaining for 70 photos for $2000 nett, I know we could have bargain more or wtv but I was there for 4hrs and drained as hell 😭😭😭😭

*edit — ok sorry the package comes with 30 edited photos! And their price for soft copy vs printed was only bout 5sgd difference 🤡 so technically 70 photos for $2k wor nabeh zzzzzz

Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: DO NOT RECOMMEND

Tho some images did turned out nice, but thanks to myself bringing my own props lmao

Overall expenses: $2600 + $2000 + $380 = $4,980.00 🤡

... Read moreFrom my experience, one of the biggest surprises was the hidden costs beyond the initial package price. Although the base price seemed affordable, mandatory add-ons like the driver, makeup artist, and extra photos quickly added up to nearly double the original fees. For couples budgeting their wedding, these additional expenses come as a big shock. Another point worth mentioning is the limited variety of outfits available, especially for men’s suits. I found the selections outdated and very few in number, which made it hard to get the look we wanted. If you’re particular about style and variety, this might be frustrating. The communication method, being only through email, felt archaic and caused delays and misunderstandings. In such a visual and detail-oriented service like a photoshoot, I expected more direct and responsive communication. One practical tip I can offer is to bring your own props or accessories to personalize your shoot, as this helped improve the overall feel of our pictures despite other limitations. During the photo selection process, be prepared for a marathon session. The staff were quite controlling about which photos to keep or delete, and they tried to discourage us from deleting many pictures, even when they didn’t meet our standards. It ended up taking 4 hours to finalize our selection, which was super draining. I also want to highlight a technical issue noticed in some photos—the positioning was uneven and sometimes poorly centralized, which affected the final quality. This suggests the photographer may lack attention to detail. For couples considering Taiwan pre-wedding shoots, ensure you ask upfront about the total costs, try to see outfit options beforehand, and prepare for a lengthy photo choosing experience. If possible, scout for other vendors or destinations with better reviews and modern services. Planning well and being prepared will save you from unexpected stress and expenses.

I also went with this company.. ended up spending 5.3k (because theres also the freight to get those freebies and physical albums in the package). photographer was really good but its way too expensive just to get the photos.. in the end we just added on 10 digital photos.

#1: DO NOT Make This PWS Mistake!!!
Mr & I took quite a while to decide on our PWS because there were so many factors to consider!! Like vendor/ concept/ location/ budget etc. After the entire process, my #1 advice for BTBs would be to only choose PWS packages that will give you ALL SOFT COPIES. I’ve heard so many friends

PWS Horror Story!!!
We signed a pre-wedding shoot package with a well-known Chinese 旅拍 company (B****), planning to do our shoot in Lijiang, China. The package included two nights’ accommodation, five outfit changes, a wedding MV and a full suite of deliverables—frames, albums, and more. We chose the scenic route:

When I first imagined my PWS, I thought it'd be 80% slay & 20% smile - dreamy poses, soft laughters, all very picture perfect 🫧 Reality? It was more like sweating in full makeup, carrying a heavy dress & silently praying my stick on bra wouldn’t drop… 🫠 So here's my PWS survival

I already had a wedding photoshoot theme in mind — and I knew right away that Singapore PWS could never deliver the kind of vibe I wanted. China was definitely the place to go. 🇨🇳✨ But then came the big question: China is so huge, with endless studios across so many cities… which one should I ch
