Walking Away is Hard, but Staying is Harder
5 years ago, I got into a relationship I thought was going to last forever. I loved this person more than I ever thought I possibly could love someone.
But this relationship was not a healthy one. It was toxic. I was constantly on edge, walking on egg shells, being disrespected, having my boundaries crossed/disregarded.
I was lonely even when I was with him.
I was miserable.
I would cry myself to sleep every night wondering why I wasn’t good enough.
Wondering if I did deserve better.
Now, 5 years later I’m out of that. I’m happier than I’ve ever been. I’m mentally, physically and spiritually healthier than I’ve ever been. I’m successful. I’ve found things I’m passionate about. I have a love for this life I’m living.
This feeling, is new but wonderful.

It gets better.
You shouldn’t be with someone who makes you question your worth.
