5 INTERVIEW TIPS YOU NEED✨
I pride myself on being a strong interviewer. After working as a graduate assistant in my college career center, I was able to scale up my interviews and land multiple job offers.
Here is what I recommend.
1. Print out the job description: whether you bring it with you or not to the interview, reading a physical copy allows you to mark up the description and understand it better.
2. Highlight key words in the description to hit: after reading through the description, physically highlight key words. These are words you want to work into your practice and be sure you say in your interview.
3. Overdress > underdress: I think most people know this but it doesn’t matter what the person interviewing you is wearing. They already have the job. Wear a professional, well put together outfit.
4. Answer practice question out loud: a lot of people know to practice for an interview but answering practice question OUT LOUD will help a ton.
5. Prepare 2+ questions to asked the interviewer: they always give you a chance to ask questions so don’t waste it. Having questions prepared helps you answer their question while finding out more information about the job.

Maintain good posture, make eye contact, and offer a firm handshake to convey confidence and professionalism. Practicing relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing, can also help alleviate nerves before your interview. Remember to dress in professional attire that suits the company’s environment, and make sure to arrive early, allowing yourself time to settle in and focus before the interview begins. Creating a strong first impression is key to a successful interview journey.
Giving a good handshake with eye contact is one I stand by. 🤝 Also, I have more recently put a photo of myself on my resume, and I feel like it helps it stand out!
