I started a 2nd job: Can you guess what it is?

I had my first day yesterday at my new SECOND job 😅

My full time job is a marketing manager but I love everything that gets my body moving so I decided to start a job that lets me do that.

I have been obsessed with CorePower (specifically their yoga sculpt classes) so why not pick up a few hours at the studio?!

My new job is a Studio Experience Team (SET) member. My shifts are only 1.5 hours, once a week and I am mainly cleaning the studio space.

Since I work a 9-5 job, this second job means dinner in the car on the way! It was a little stressful but once I got to my job it was all better!

Im so excited to meet a new company and get some extra $$ while taking my mind off of my full time job!

It's been such an interesting journey balancing this with my full-time marketing role. First off, what does a SET member actually do? My shifts are usually 1.5 hours, and yes, a big part of it is keeping the yoga studio sparkling clean. This means things like wiping down mats, tidying the common areas, making sure the restrooms are fresh, and restocking supplies. It's not glamorous, but honestly, it’s quite meditative in a way! Beyond cleaning, I also help with light front desk duties if needed, like checking people in or answering quick questions. The goal is to make sure every yogi walking into the studio, whether it's for a heated power flow or a yoga sculpt class, has a truly seamless and positive experience. The team atmosphere is really supportive, which makes a huge difference. One of the biggest perks, besides the extra cash (which is always nice!), is definitely the free unlimited yoga! As someone who loves getting my body moving, this is a game-changer. It means I can dive into those intense yoga sculpt classes without worrying about the membership fees. It's a fantastic way to destress after a long day at my 9-5. Balancing a second job with a full-time career can definitely be a juggle. I mentioned eating dinner in my car on the way to a shift – that’s a real snapshot of my life right now! It requires serious time management and sometimes sacrificing a bit of evening downtime. My main tip for anyone considering a similar path is to be super organized and communicate clearly with both employers if necessary. Also, choose a second job that aligns with your passions or offers a different kind of fulfillment, not just financial. For me, being in the bright and welcoming CorePower studio environment, seeing people energized after their classes, is a huge motivator. If you're thinking about applying for a CorePower SET position, I’d say go for it if you're passionate about fitness, customer service, and don't mind getting hands-on. The application process involved an online form and an interview, much like any other job. They really look for people who are reliable, friendly, and genuinely care about the studio's atmosphere. It’s a great way to be part of a community, earn some side income, and keep active. Plus, being around that positive energy is a big mood booster! It's been a cool experience so far, and I'm learning a lot about retail operations and community building in a fitness setting. Definitely recommend exploring options if you're looking for a rewarding side hustle that fits into a busy schedule!
