Would you enjoy traveling for work?

Every time I pack for another work trip, I can’t decide if I love or hate traveling for work. I’ve finally gotten the hang of what I need and what I don’t to make my life easier on the road. A big must for me is headphones. I think if I forgot them, I’d be running to the store right when I landed.

It always sounds fun... new cities, paid hotels, a break from routine, but it’s also endless flights, catching up on emails in airports or any chance I can, and trying to stay on top of projects from a hotel desk.

I travel at least 6 times a year for work and for the most part, I enjoy it. This past year I had some big trips (Spain >NYC > Chicago) back to back. That got to me a little.

I love the perks of work travel but I hate that my emails and projects don't pause while I am not in a space to work on them.

If your job offered travel, would you say yes or no?
