I’ve seen so many discussions online about whether Xaden will follow a path similar to other beloved morally grey characters in fantasy. Think about characters like Rhysand from ACOTAR (though Xaden feels even darker sometimes!) or even some of our favorite anti-heroes from darker fantasy novels. They all have that magnetic pull, that sense of danger combined with an undeniable protectiveness. It makes them irresistible, and Xaden absolutely belongs in that league.
