I finally finished this year’s Advent calendars!
These were made for my three kids, mind you the twins are 28 and my little guy is 14! And they loved it!!
The backing is made from bright festive felt, and each day is a mix of large and small canvas bags — peppermint stripes, plaids, snowflakes, Christmas trucks, trees, and a few cheeky “nice with a hint of naughty” ones for fun. Every bag is tied with coordinating ribbon or cord, and the whole piece is framed with holiday ribbon around the edges.
To hang it, I used a 36” wooden dowel attached to thick nautical rope, giving it a warm, rustic, handmade feel. And of course… I had to top it off with a big decorative bow on the corner. 🎀
It’s sturdy, reusable, and absolutely packed with Christmas charm. Perfect for counting down the days with tiny treats, notes, or little surprises. This might be one of my favorite handmade decor pieces yet!
