Summer Time Activities for After Work

we all have 168 hours in our week. a third of those are spent working/commuting (if you’re lucky), a third of the are spent sleeping. leaving us around 68 hours to eat, shower, and take care of our bodies and homes.

68 hours sounds like a lot, but the average person spends 4 and a half hours on their phone every day. squeeze showering, cooking, and cleaning into those hours and it's easy to see why we feel like we have no time left to live. but the reality is, those 68 hours are what makes up our lives.

so, you have two options. you can spend those moments wishing you liked your job more; wishing you had more time.; numbing out of the life you hate by scrolling on social media. OR you start living your life in the moments you do have.

write these ideas on pieces of paper and stick them in a jar. pull one out once a week and spend your time after working DOING something. i know it’s not easy most days. especially if you work long hours or have kids, but stepping out of your day-to-day routine and trying something knew will do so much for your mental health and overall wellbeing.

i say all this because i’ve been so stuck in the work, eat, sleep cycle, and know how hard it is to break! so lets try to break out of it together!
