ap jarvan IV is so much fun
Okay, so I know what you're thinking: AP Jarvan IV? Is that even a thing? Well, let me tell you, it absolutely is, and it's probably one of the most hilariously fun and surprisingly effective builds I've stumbled upon in League of Legends lately. I was just messing around in a normal game, feeling a bit bored with the usual AD bruiser J4, and then I just declared, "IV): im going ap!" My teammates were skeptical, to say the least. But I was determined to see if I could make it work. The core idea behind AP Jarvan is to amplify the magic damage from his Demacian Standard (E) and Cataclysm (R), turning him into a burst mage rather than an engage tank. The E-Q combo, usually just for mobility and a knock-up, suddenly hits like a truck. I started with items like Lich Bane, which synergizes incredibly well with his E, followed by things like Zhonya's Hourglass for survivability and Rabadon's Deathcap to really crank up that AP. The early game was a bit tricky, but once I got a couple of AP items, things just clicked. The sheer surprise factor is what makes it so good. Enemies expect a standard Jarvan engage, but they are absolutely NOT ready for the burst of magic damage. I distinctly remember one game where I leaped in, dropped my flag, and the enemy Viktor immediately typed, "Viktor): you hacking with that flag?" because the damage from my E alone, combined with a quick auto-attack from Lich Bane, was just absurd. It felt like I was doing illegal amounts of damage! Landing the E-Q combo and then trapping an enemy in Cataclysm (R) with high AP feels incredibly satisfying. The ultimate itself scales with AP, so it can actually deal significant magic damage on its own, often securing kills out of nowhere. I had moments where I'd just burst down squishies, and the chat would light up with "Wasted" or "is on a rampage!". Even when I missed an E-Q, the flag still provided vision and a decent chunk of damage. My team's Milio even started pinging "Milio) signals to retreat" when I went in, not because I was dying, but because the enemy was about to get obliterated. It was pure chaos, and pure fun. While it's definitely not a meta pick for ranked, AP Jarvan IV is fantastic for shaking things up in blind or draft pick. It teaches you to play Jarvan in a completely different way, focusing on quick burst trades and positioning for maximum magic damage. Plus, the reactions you get from opponents are priceless. If you're looking for a fresh, unexpected build that's guaranteed to bring some laughs and surprising wins, give AP Jarvan IV a try. You might just find yourself on an unexpected rampage!
