Fur Baby
#furbaby #tuxedocats KiKis (MauMau 😽) I had been having a reoccurring memory of my first Cat. It’s a sad memory and I realize now that I had to go back to that space and time and comfort myself, that little girl who’s kitty snuck out of the yard and waited for days for Him to return, the night of his return would come back to me at my whole life thus far and upon learning about #soulretrieval a part of me was there, that’s the haunting memory. So I’d been doing the Soul Retrieval for about 5 months now, for parts of life when trauma causes a part of us to basically fragment, to check out because it’s not safe to be present, parts of us that are stifled and neglected, even from past life traumas and deaths that effect us in this lifetime. So last night… I thought of my first kitty, and I had good memories! 🥹😍😺 I remembered how happy my grandparents were to bring me this little dark gray fur ball, and I laughed! Because I thought of how funny it is that they named MY first cat, DIABLO. They gave me a cat, and named it Devil 🤣 so this little Devil would terrorize the house plants in the earliest ours of the AM. and I’m smiling remembering and seeing myself try to put the dirt back into my Moms (Grandma was my Mom and she still is in my heart) trying to clean up the evidence. I’m so happy, gladdened that I can now recall good memories, from a place that No One understood more comforted me long enough about what I saw that night when Diablo passed away to the spirit realms. Deep sigh 😮💨 I’m okay with it and I have my good memories and look forward to beautiful connections and times in the future, because I’m an Animal and creature Lover ✨🫶🏼😽 #story #catsoflemon8
Losing a beloved pet can create deep emotional imprints that linger in our hearts for years. Through my experience, I have come to understand that healing these wounds is sometimes possible by revisiting and honoring those memories with compassion and love. Soul retrieval, a therapeutic practice aimed at reclaiming fragmented parts of our spirit caused by trauma, has been transformative for me. It allowed me to gently revisit the sorrow I felt when my first cat, Diablo, passed away — a pet whose mischievous spirit and endearing quirks brought both chaos and joy into my childhood home. This practice encourages embracing not only the sadness but also the happy memories intertwined with loss. I remember how my grandparents enthusiastically gifted me Diablo, their sense of humor unknowingly captured in his name meaning 'Devil.' Despite the early morning plant ambushes and messes, the laughter and love we shared are what remain vividly alive in my mind. Soul retrieval helped me hold space for these emotions and embrace the full spectrum of my relationship with that furry friend. For pet lovers like me, honoring the legacy of fur babies involves more than remembrance; it is about integrating those feelings into our ongoing lives. It has strengthened my connection to all animals and deepened my appreciation for their role as companions and healers. I encourage anyone struggling with pet loss to explore ways to reclaim their joy and peace—through journaling, creative expression, or therapeutic practices like soul retrieval. Healing is a journey, but revisiting treasured memories with kindness can be a beautiful first step toward a hopeful future filled with more meaningful connections.
