It still feels surreal to finally be able to say I'm officially heading to my dream art school this spring! Reflecting on my journey, the application process was definitely a marathon, not a sprint. Crafting that perfect portfolio, pouring over essays, and the nail-biting wait for acceptance letters – it was all part of the path to becoming an art student. I remember researching countless schools, but there was always something about this one that just clicked with my artistic vision and goals. Now, as Irie Hinari prepares for this exciting new chapter, I'm already envisioning all the incredible experiences awaiting me in Baltimore. I've been doing some virtual tours and checking out the local art scene, and I can't wait to immerse myself in a new city that's rich with culture and creativity. This move isn't just about a new school; it's about a whole new environment to inspire my art. Expect to see some mini vlogs showcasing my move, setting up my new studio space, and exploring the hidden gems of Baltimore. For those of you in the Class of 2029, or anyone aspiring to go to art school, I'm hoping to share more insights into what the transition is like. From what to pack for dorm life as an art major to navigating campus and making new friends, I want to provide a real look into the art school experience. I'm especially excited about meeting fellow artists and collaborating on projects. This journey is just beginning, and I'm so grateful to have you all along for the ride. Make sure to follow along for all my art school adventures, studio updates, and maybe even some tips on surviving those all-nighters!
