Red Velvet at Dunkin
I am already obsessed and so ready for everything to turn pink for Valentine's day!
On the left, it's the signature red velvet macchiato, and on the right it's a sweet foam cold brew with 3 pumps red velvet syrup!
Both drinks were really good, with the cold brew being just a bit sweeter. The best would probably be mixing the two drinks.

As soon as February rolls around, I'm practically living at Dunkin' for their seasonal Red Velvet treats! This year, they've really outdone themselves, bringing back that beloved red velvet flavor in some truly irresistible drinks perfect for Valentine's Day. I just had to try them both and give you my honest thoughts! First up, the Signature Red Velvet Macchiato. This drink is a visual delight, truly embodying the OCR description of "macchiato with pink and brown layers." You get that beautiful contrast of the deep espresso swirling into the creamy, sweet red velvet base. For me, this one is a classic. It strikes a good balance – the rich, slightly chocolatey red velvet flavor is prominent, but the espresso shot cuts through the sweetness just enough to make it feel like a sophisticated treat rather than just a sugar rush. It's smooth, velvety, and definitely evokes that cozy, romantic vibe that Red Velvet is known for. If you love a good latte or macchiato with a festive twist, this is absolutely for you. Then there's the Sweet Foam Cold Brew with 3 pumps Red Velvet Syrup. Oh. My. Goodness. This one is for the true sweet tooths out there! The cold brew itself is already incredibly smooth, but then you add that luscious red velvet syrup and top it with their sweet foam, and it's pure decadence. As the original post mentioned, this cold brew is definitely a bit sweeter than the macchiato. The "sweet foam cold brew with red velvet syrup" is incredibly creamy and rich, almost like a dessert in a cup. If you're looking for that intense red velvet goodness without the espresso cutting through, this is your go-to. It's a fantastic pick-me-up that feels incredibly indulgent, especially with that fluffy sweet foam. My personal discovery was mixing the two drinks, as suggested in the original post. It’s absolutely genius! Taking a sip of both really balances out the flavors. The macchiato’s espresso provides a nice counterpoint to the cold brew’s sweetness, creating a perfectly harmonious red velvet experience. It's like getting the best of both worlds – the bold coffee notes with the ultimate creamy, red velvet sweetness. Now, I know many of you are also wondering about the Dunkin' Red Velvet Donut. While my focus was on the drinks, I can't talk about Red Velvet at Dunkin' without giving a nod to this classic! If you're looking for a perfect pairing, grabbing one of their cakey Red Velvet donuts with that signature cream cheese-flavored frosting is a must. It complements the drinks beautifully and really completes the whole Red Velvet experience. It's the perfect treat to enjoy with your "Dunkin' Red Velvet drinks"! For those who love to customize, you can always ask for fewer pumps of syrup if you prefer your drinks less sweet, or even add an extra espresso shot to the cold brew for an extra kick. And while we're talking about Red Velvet, some of you might recall the "Dunkin' Pink Velvet Latte." While not explicitly called Red Velvet, the Pink Velvet often appears around this time of year with a similar, sweet, cake-batter-like flavor profile that many adore. If you can't find the Red Velvet, the Pink Velvet might be a fantastic alternative or a fun comparison to try! Whether you're celebrating Valentine's Day or just in the mood for something deliciously festive, Dunkin's Red Velvet offerings are a must-try. Which one is your favorite?

I’m not a fan of red velvet, but it sure does sound good 😊
