🏫 Years ago, as a high schooler, I was touring art schools and even got accepted to attend SCAD. But in the end, I decided not to go for financial and practical reasons.
💸 It was a great decision. I realize that, while I love to make art, I would not have enjoyed making it for clients, or for commercial purposes. I learned that you do not need to turn your passion into your money-maker.
☁️ THAT BEING SAID, I thought for some time, that because I chose to not go to art school, I was never going to exceed past my current level of skill. What a hopeless thought!
