When the book is so good you have to cancel plans

You know when you get to that point on certain books where you start revising your entire schedule, because you're like "Yea this is gonna be the only thing I do for the next 6 hours" 😂🫣😵‍💫

This book really had me gripped like that! I didn't think much of the first 2 chapters, literally almost dropped the whole book, but by chapter 4 I was in.

I don't think I need to reveal too much about the book, but it is about video game designers and deals with some heavy topics.

On the next slide are my head cannons for how the characters look! It is kinda hard to get pictures because they age like 15 years throughout the book but you get the idea 🤣

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It’s a familiar experience for many avid readers, encapsulated perfectly in the phenomenon of ‘addictive reads.’ These are the novels that hook you from the midpoint onward, compelling you to rearrange your schedule in pursuit of just a few more chapters. One recent example that has captured many hearts is Gabrielle Zevin's ‘Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow.’ This novel explores themes of friendship, creativity, and the challenges of the gaming industry. With its richly developed characters, the book takes readers on an emotional rollercoaster, showcasing the ups and downs faced by video game designers. Not only does this work resonate due to its relevant subject matter, but the depth of storytelling keeps readers engaged throughout. Many find themselves relating to the characters as they navigate not only their professional ambitions but also their personal lives. As you dive into such narratives, have an open mind; while the beginning may not immediately grab you, don’t be quick to put it down. Moreover, recommendations like ‘Daisy Jones and the Six’ offer parallel enjoyment with their unique perspectives and storytelling styles. So, the next time you find a book pulling you in, embrace it!
