Goodbye Big Light 💡👋🏻

Why I recommend ditching the “big light” & replacing it with small ambience lighting…

💡 filling your space with an array of “small” lights creates a cozy peaceful environment versus the harsh lighting a ceiling light gives off.

💡 accent lighting is much easier on the eyes.. this is especially helpful if you’re prone to headaches!

💡 the glare from bright overhead lights can cause eye strain & blurred vision ( I speak from experience )

💡 bright lighting can lead to more intense emotions ( both positive & negative ). I personally have noticed that I feel less anxious & stressed with small lights than I do w big lights.

💡 remember, filling your home with small lights doesn’t have to be expensive! I got both sets of white string lights at Lowe’s after Xmas for $1 a piece!!

PRO TIP :

- cool toned lighting = daylight effect, can promote alertness & productivity

- warm toned lighting = cozy & relaxed atmosphere

In conclusion, I don’t see myself ever going back to the big light. However, i know this may not be for everyone, and that’s okay!

also, if you want a big light but also want the cozy effect of small lights consider a ceiling light that allows you to change the color temperature & brightness level!

A great option is

GOSONKT low profile ceiling fan with lights

... Read moreLighting plays a crucial role in setting the mood and atmosphere of a space. By choosing to emphasize small lights instead of overhead lighting, you can create a warm, inviting environment perfect for relaxation or productivity. Accent lighting is not only visually appealing, but it also contributes to overall mental well-being. Studies have shown that softer lighting can help reduce stress and anxiety levels, making for a more comfortable home. Incorporating string lights, sconces, or table lamps adds a touch of character and intimacy, allowing you to personalize your decor. There are many affordable options available, with DIY projects also becoming increasingly popular. From vintage-style bulbs to modern LED strips, the combinations you can create with small lights are endless, making them a versatile choice for any room in your home. Be mindful of color temperatures—cool-toned lights can enhance productivity and alertness, while warm-toned lights promote relaxation and coziness. This makes switching out a few bulbs or adding additional light sources simple yet effective. If you enjoy larger ambiance features, consider smart lighting solutions that allow you to adjust brightness and color temperature through your smartphone. Such technology merges both the functionality of a ceiling light with the cozy atmosphere of smaller bulbs. Overall, lighting style can greatly influence how you feel in your space, so remember to design it with your comfort in mind!
