5am club / gym session ✨
This is a task that I never thought I’d see myself trying to tackle! I enjoy going to the gym frequent and want to actually start incorporating this at the top of my day so I can utilize the rest of my day to be productive. In 2025 I will be working on trying to go to the gym at 5:30 am. As of right now not sure how this will work with it being 18°F in the morning because I’d rather be warm in bed. #5amgymgirl #5amgymroutine #5amgym #summerbod #unfiltered
Joining the 5 AM gym club can sound daunting, but trust me, the benefits are huge once you get into the swing of those early bird gym sessions! I've been eyeing this goal for a while, wanting to maximize my productivity and carve out 'me time' before the day even truly begins. It’s a challenge, for sure, especially when the alarm goes off and it’s still dark and chilly outside, but the payoff is incredible. So, how do you even start waking up when it's freezing and all you want is to stay warm in bed? My go-to tricks include preparing everything the night before – gym clothes laid out, water bottle filled, and even my pre-workout snack ready to grab. A consistent bedtime, even if it feels early, is a complete game-changer. Your body adapts faster than you think. I also find setting a positive intention the night before helps a lot; visualize crushing your 5 AM gym workout! For a productive 5 AM gym workout, I usually split my time. Maybe 10-15 minutes of dynamic stretching and light cardio like a brisk walk on the treadmill or cycling to wake up my body. Then, I move onto strength training. Depending on the day, it could be an upper body focus, incorporating exercises like push-ups, dumbbell rows, and yes, even working in some palm press variations to really target the chest and triceps. Or it might be a lower body day with squats and lunges. The key is to have a plan so you don't waste precious morning minutes. Always remember a good warm-up and cool-down are crucial, even when time is tight, to prevent injuries and aid recovery after those early bird gym sessions. It's not always easy – some mornings I just want to stay under the covers, especially when it's 18°F like it has been lately! But remembering how energized and accomplished I feel afterward keeps me going. The quiet gym, the feeling of having already done something significant before most people are even awake, definitely boosts my mood and sets a positive tone for the entire day. It’s about building that habit, one early morning at a time. These early bird gym sessions really do set the tone for the whole day, boosting productivity and mental clarity. It's an investment in yourself!
