🌸 Budget Reset for July: Paying Off Debt + Funding

POV: You just came back from a 2-week trip, and now it's grind time because grown woman goals don’t pay themselves 🤭🩷

🎯 My Goals This Month: 💳 Pay off $318.83 on my credit card by July 17

📚 Save $4,000 for grad school by August 1 (my Career Fund!)

💼 Income Streams This Month: 🛍️ TJMaxx — ~$150/week

🛒 Victoria’s Secret — ~$115/week

🧠 Youth Support Specialist — $25–50/week

🚗 DoorDash (2–3x a week) — $60–90/week

🍯 Soft Life Strategy: — DoorDash = pocket money for groceries, gas & glow-ups 💅🏽

— Paychecks = go straight to stacking & slashing debt

— No stress, just steady elevation 🔥

📈 Manifesting: Fully paid tuition. No credit card debt. Full fridge. Bills on autopay. Soft life activated. 💕

... Read moreHey everyone! So glad you're here to talk about getting our finances together, soft life style. We often hear 'budget' and immediately think of deprivation, but it doesn't have to be that way! My goal, just like the original post, is to make financial growth feel like a glow-up, not a chore. First off, let's talk about that 'budget tracker' idea. It’s a game-changer! Instead of just randomly spending, I use a simple spreadsheet or even a free app to log *every single dollar*. Knowing exactly where your money goes is the first step to taking control. I break down my weekly goals, just like the post mentions, for both debt repayment and savings. For example, if I need to pay off $300 this month, I'll divide that by four weeks and aim for $75 each week. This makes big goals feel totally achievable. When it comes to paying off credit card debt, it can feel overwhelming, right? My strategy is to tackle the smallest balance first (the 'snowball method') or the one with the highest interest rate (the 'avalanche method'). The original post's goal of paying off that $318.83 credit card debt by July 17th is super inspiring. Setting a specific date like that really lights a fire under you! Every extra dollar from my 'hustle strategy' goes straight to that. Speaking of hustles, the post touches on side gigs like DoorDash. This is where the 'soft life' really meets strategy! Instead of viewing side gigs as just extra work, I reframe them as 'pocket money' for specific things. For instance, my DoorDash earnings cover groceries and gas, freeing up my main paychecks for my bigger goals like saving for my career fund (hello, grad school!). It’s all about working smarter, not just harder. Think about what unique skills you have that could become a side gig. Maybe it’s pet-sitting, freelance writing, or even selling crafts online! Every little bit adds up to 'leveling up my financial status'. Building that career fund, whether it's for grad school or another big life goal, is so empowering. The idea of saving $4,000 by August 1st is ambitious but totally doable with a clear 'hustle strategy' and diligent tracking. I make sure to automate my savings transfers so I don't even have to think about it. It’s like paying my future self first! Remember, a 'soft life' doesn’t mean avoiding responsibility; it means managing it in a way that feels sustainable and empowering. It's about finding joy in the process of financial growth and seeing those 'pink $20 bills' accumulate, knowing you're building a secure and abundant future for yourself. You got this!
