THE GOODNESS OF GOD!
Our culture is full of false interpretations of LOVE. Day by day, true LOVE is buried under an avalanche of selfishness and confusion. Many people view LOVE as a warm affection or desire. There are times when LOVE can produce warm affection and desire, but these can also be selfish feelings. When the feelings fade, those who view LOVE this way move on to the next warm embrace. In contrast, Biblical LOVE is selfless. True LOVE is more about giving than receiving. True LOVE is about sacrifice. True LOVE casts aside pride and self-conceit. "Finally, all of you br of one mind, having compassion for one another; LOVE as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that You were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing." 🙏🏽💜🙏🏽
(1 PETER 3:8)
In today's society, the concept of love is often distorted by selfish interpretations and fleeting emotions. Many equate love with temporary affection, leading them to seek the next emotional high when feelings wane. However, biblical love, as expressed in scriptures like Mark 12:30, calls for a deeper commitment. It demands that we love God with all our heart, soul, and strength, which translates into loving others selflessly. This genuine love is about putting others before ourselves and finding fulfillment in acts of kindness and compassion. The scripture encourages us to take the moral high ground by practicing empathy and fostering relationships rooted in care and respect. True love involves patience and understanding, allowing us to bless others even when faced with adversities. As we strive to embody this selfless love in our daily lives, we not only enhance our relationships but also contribute to a more compassionate community, reflecting the goodness of God.
