both of these books mix levity and darkness and definitely make you think!

pet is one of those YA books that i think every adult should try. it explores utopia and justice and child predators and offers up some great reflection with an inclusive cast.

and i usually recommend the undetectables primarily for its amazing fibromyalgia representation, but it’s got a great central mystery, too!
