Sneak peak of The life of witch who’s a dishwasher

I get a lot of yummy food lmao ❤️😁 but on another note, I do sometimes leave offerings like rose based fruits I made to the spirits in the area. Like the strawberry rose you see. And I’ll usually set them in the back under our tree at the shop.

I often do dishes by hand where I work but I love taking pictures of the food and drinks I get from my amazing coworkers. Also just because it’s work, doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun or find ways of making it fun.

And yes, I’m a witch. As much as I wish to truly have my own business on Etsy to be my full time job, I do need another route to stabilize myself. :)

... Read moreIt’s truly a unique juggle, living life as a witch while my hands are deep in suds as a dishwasher at a busy cafe. People often imagine witchcraft as something mystical and separate from everyday life, but for me, it’s about weaving magic into every moment, even amidst the clatter of plates and the warmth of the kitchen sink. My daily routine, far from being mundane, is a constant opportunity for connection and gratitude. Take, for instance, the simple act of making offerings. It's not always grand rituals; sometimes it's as subtle as leaving a carved strawberry resembling a rose under the old tree behind the shop, a small gesture of respect and thanks to the spirits of the place. It grounds me, reminding me that even in a bustling urban environment, there's a pulse of ancient energy if you choose to acknowledge it. These small acts of intention make the cafe feel less like just a workplace and more like a space where my spiritual path coexists with my practical one. And then there's the food! Oh, the food. It’s one of the most delightful perks of this job. My coworkers are incredible, constantly sharing their culinary creations. One day it might be a delicious-looking sandwich, perfectly toasted, handed to me after a particularly busy lunch rush. Another time, I might find myself marveling at a plate of French toast adorned with whipped cream, strawberries, chocolate chips, and powdered sugar that a baker just perfected. It's a constant stream of delicious surprises, a testament to the joy and creativity flowing through our kitchen. I've even gotten to try my hand at plating, like the time I helped prepare a bowl of creamy grits topped with fried eggs, crispy pork belly, and herbs for a special brunch. Seeing happy customers enjoy the dishes I've helped craft, even if my role is often behind the scenes with the equipment, is incredibly rewarding. There was even a moment when I was proud of the dishes I made for customers, feeling a sense of contribution beyond just washing. Working as a dishwasher might sound repetitive, but I've found ways to make it fun. It’s like a moving meditation sometimes, the rhythmic scrub and rinse. I’ve learned to appreciate the quiet moments, the hum of the machines, and the satisfaction of a sparkling clean stack of plates. It's not just about getting through the shift; it's about finding the beauty in the process, much like how I approach my craft. This job, despite its physical demands, has taught me resilience and how to find peace in motion. It's a hands-on, tangible connection to the world, a grounding force. Of course, the dream of having my own Etsy business, where I can focus solely on my magical creations, is very much alive. But this job isn't just a means to an end; it's a vital chapter in my story. It provides stability, yes, but also a rich tapestry of experiences, from the camaraderie with my colleagues to the delicious meals, and the quiet moments where I can practice my unique blend of daily magic. It’s all part of the journey, balancing the visible and invisible worlds, one clean dish and one magical intention at a time, always enjoying yummy food along the way.
