My partner and I recently had the most incredible adults-only retreat at the Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris Beach Hotel & Spa in Paphos, and I just had to share our experience. If you’re like us, seeking a luxurious escape where tranquility and romance take center stage, this resort is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, the serene ambiance of this adults-only haven was palpable, a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of everyday life. One of the first things that struck me was the hotel's stunning beachfront location. Imagine waking up to the sound of waves and having direct access to Paphos’ sandy shores. The outdoor swimming pool area quickly became our favorite spot. Surrounded by lush palm trees and comfortable sun loungers, it felt like our own private paradise. We spent hours just relaxing by the pool, soaking up the Cypriot sun, and admiring the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. The outdoor leisure area is perfectly designed for unwinding, whether you prefer lounging by the water or finding a quiet corner in the beautifully landscaped 6,000m² gardens. The accommodation was equally impressive. Our hotel room was a sanctuary of comfort and style, with natural tones and soft blues creating a truly peaceful coastal vibe. It genuinely felt like a luxurious home away from home, providing the perfect space to unwind after a day of exploring or simply relaxing by the pool. The attention to detail in the room's design really enhanced our sense of escape and made our stay feel extra special. Dining at Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris was a culinary journey in itself. With five à la carte restaurants, we were spoilt for choice every evening. From savoring authentic Greek dishes to indulging in delicious Italian favorites and exotic Asian delights, each meal was an experience. The quality and variety of food were outstanding, making every dinner a highlight of our day. We loved trying different cuisines and often enjoyed our meals with stunning sea views, adding to the romantic atmosphere. Evenings were vibrant yet sophisticated. We particularly enjoyed the Erato Club Bar, which offered live music nightly. It was the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail and unwind, with a lively but not overwhelming atmosphere. Beyond the bar, the hotel offers a range of activities – from beach volleyball to gym access and an indoor pool – ensuring there’s always something to do if you feel like being active, or plenty of quiet spots if you prefer to simply relax. The location itself is fantastic for adults looking to explore Paphos. We took leisurely strolls along the promenade to the harbor, discovering charming shops and cafés. The UNESCO-listed Paphos Mosaics and the Paphos Medieval Castle are just a short walk away, offering a glimpse into the rich history of the area. Plus, the free access to Splash Waterpark at their sister hotel was a fun bonus if you fancy a bit of adventurous splash. This adults-only retreat truly offers the perfect blend of relaxation, luxury, and cultural exploration. I can't recommend it enough for couples or anyone seeking a peaceful and indulgent getaway.
