I felt a strong urge to tell a new, personal story set within that terrifying world, exploring what it would truly be like for an ordinary person to navigate its daily horrors. This particular fanart project allows me to expand on elements I found fascinating in the game. This webcomic introduces a brand new security hire, a woman who, along with her child, finds herself taking on responsibilities at the infamous Superstar Daycare. You'll see them arriving at the seemingly innocent, brightly colored indoor play area, filled with vibrant climbing structures, slides, and hanging rings. It looks like a typical children's daycare on the surface, but we, as FNAF fans, know the sinister truth lurking beneath the surface. The initial panels quickly set up the immediate challenge: facing a new job in a sprawling, disorienting environment, and meeting characters like Jackson, who casually hints at deeper, more complex truths – like the mention of two daycare attendants instead of just one. These small details are what truly build the mystery! My goal with 'The Dark Hour' is to delve deeper into the psychological horror and suspense that makes the FNAF universe so compelling. What kind of unseen threats will our new protagonist and her child stumble upon? I'm particularly excited to explore the intense dynamic of a parent desperately trying to protect their child in such an incredibly perilous and unpredictable setting.
