This is one of my ways of managing rain with 9 dogs. I’ll post my second way of managing next. This is my quicker option when i don’t want to pull out the mud buster and wipe 36 individual paws 🥴😁
Managing rain and mud with a full house of dogs can be a real challenge, especially when you have as many as nine! From my experience, an effective method is to prioritize areas where the dogs gather the most, usually the backyard. I found that bringing them all out in a bunch to the front yard first helps ensure no one escapes or gets dirty unexpectedly. Instead of wiping each paw individually, which can be very time-consuming with so many dogs, I use a large towel to mop up the yard afterward. This way, I minimize the mess that they track inside and reduce my cleanup workload. Having a designated spot where the dogs can relieve themselves and dry off also helps significantly keep mud from spreading. Another tip is to train your dogs to wait patiently while you handle paw cleaning one group at a time or while you do quick checks. This can make the entire process smoother and less stressful for both you and your dogs. By managing their outdoor time efficiently and keeping a tactical cleaning routine, you can maintain a cleaner yard and home, even during wet weather. This approach works well not just for rain but also for managing muddy conditions after storms or heavy watering of the yard. It's a balance of saving time and keeping your space tidy — definitely a must-try if you're juggling multiple pets and challenging weather conditions!
