OB appt
If you have been following along you will know I have been having some pressure and prodromal contractions. My OB stated today no additional changes have happened and I will be checked again next week. I am going in 38 weeks and have 2 weeks and 5 days left until my official due date. I was kind of hoping for some additional changes to get things moving in because I am so uncomfortable. I came home from the appt and took a few hours long nap. We will see how the rest of this week goes. #37weekspregnant #contractiontiming #braxtonhicks
As you approach your due date, it's essential to understand the importance of regular OB appointments. At 38 weeks, your health care provider assesses both your well-being and your baby's progress. Expectant mothers often experience pressure and prodromal contractions, which can be confusing. These contractions are a sign that your body is preparing for labor, though they can also lead to discomfort. A thorough check-up allows the OB to determine any changes in your cervix, monitor fetal health, and give personalized advice on what to expect leading up to your delivery. Be prepared to discuss the frequency and intensity of your contractions and any concerns you might have. Additionally, it’s common for pregnant individuals to feel anxious about the anticipation of labor, especially regarding discomfort and waiting for signs of real labor. Remember to bring any questions you have to your appointment, as communication is key. It’s also advisable to consider rest and self-care while you wait, as your body is working hard at this stage. Seek support from fellow mothers, whether in your community or through social media forums, to share experiences and advice. Many find comfort in connecting with others facing similar challenges.
