This was my first time in my adult life booking a trip not only for me, but two other adults. The first and last time I traveled was to Puerto Rico in 2019. At the time I was working with an artist that provided all expenses and accommodations up front. However, I would have some of my check garnished to pay for my travel expenses. I had lost a lot of weight and felt like I was getting second shot at life. Fast forward 2024, I’ve gain quite a lot weight and know that I would not fit in just one seat comfortably.

I have always been anxious about making traveling arrangements. First, never had the financial means to make or follow through with the idea of it. Secondly, the amount of stress that comes over me knowing that I would have to reserve/purchase two seats. To be able to travel comfortably and not trouble other paying customers from their space.

But I did it. Southwest gave me the peace of mind that I could get that second purchased seat refunded at the end of the trip. Every single person I spoke to on the phone and talked to in the airport from Southwest Airlines was supper polite.

This has truly motivated me to continue to save up and make future travel plans and continue to learn more. #plussizetravel
