Homeschooling year round works SO well for our family! We have found that it keeps the kids engaged and our family always has a break to look forward to. Our weeks also only consist of three days which I forgot to mention in the video! ☺️
PS - If I’m looking off to the side, I had my thoughts typed up so I wouldn’t forget the majority of what I wanted to share. 👀

From personal experience, homeschooling year round can transform the entire educational experience for both parents and children. By spreading the curriculum over the full year and maintaining a shorter weekly schedule of just three days, the pressure of cramming lessons into a traditional five-day week is greatly reduced, leading to less stress and more meaningful learning moments. One of the standout benefits we've noticed is how kids stay consistently engaged without feeling overwhelmed. Because the school days are fewer and breaks are frequent, children look forward to learning rather than viewing it as a chore. This approach also allows for flexibility to incorporate hands-on activities, field trips, or even spontaneous day plans that suit the child’s interests. Keeping a written plan or notes handy, as mentioned, is a great way to stay organized and ensure that all important points and lessons are covered. This has helped me stay focused, especially on days when external distractions might make teaching challenging. Another advantage is the opportunity for families to take advantage of seasonal breaks without losing momentum. Instead of a long summer hiatus, smaller, more frequent breaks help maintain routine while also allowing time for rest and family bonding. Overall, adopting a year-round homeschooling schedule tailored to your family’s unique rhythm promotes a balanced lifestyle that supports both effective learning and quality family time.
